about Frank and Louie
Frank and Louie (sometimes called frankenlouie) was a cat who lived 15 years! from september 8th, 1999, to december 4th 2014. he was a diprosopus or janus cat! which is a condition that due to problems with the shh gene (also called the sonic the hedgehog gene which is so silly!) this causes facial feautures to duplicate, but sadly this comes with a lot of other complications with health, and often the life expectancy for animals with this condition is very short :( but in Frank and Louie's case due to only having one esophagus and only having one mouth that was able to eat, and he lived for a long time :) when he was born, the animal shelter expected him to die within days, yet his owner Martha Stevens took him in and cared for him! and then Frank and Louie was able to become independent! Frank and Louie was described as extremely friendly and sometimes dog like, he enjoyed going for walks and car rides. he could see through two of his eyes, his center eye was non functional and made it appear as if he was always staring. he was a ragdoll cat and very soft and fluffy, he was recognized as the longest known living janus cat by the guiness book of world records and recognized as a very very sweet cat by me (although sadly i never got the chance to meet him)
