The doopees are a conceptual band created by the steel drum player and experimental music producer Yann Tomita (who deserves his own shrine on here... hmm, i'll add that to the list!) they released one album in 1999 titled Doopee Time! And an EP before that titled Dooits! along with Yann Tomita, AKA Dr. Domestic, Suzi Kim and Buffalo Daughter's Yumiko Ohno as Caroline Nova provide vocals for the album. After the release of Doopee Time no album was released. Although, Ohno continues to be apart of Buffalo Daughter and Yann Tomita has many numerous other projects (He still runs Audio Science Labratory) The album is widely underrated as its a masterpiece!! It aims to create cute mind clearing music and for the most part that is true, especially with the title track 'Doopee Time' and the cover of the Ronette's 'How Does it Feel' but then when you start to get deeper into the album, namely the track Medical Service its not very cute at all. The story depicts Suzi Kim, and Caroline Novak, both of them set out to find a cure to Novaks deep sadness
